Acute Rehab

We all know...

Hospitals get low on beds and need to discharge patients

Patients must be restraint-free for at least 24 hours to be accepted into an LTACH

A sitter can manually restrain a patient such that restraint devices are not utilized

Patients often experience delirium in the hospital which can have lasting effects

Anti-psychotics can be introduced to a patient’s med list to quell confused movement

Patients are transferred from favorable RN:patient ratios to unfavorable RN:patient ratios

Anti-psychotics can slow a patient’s mobility and rehabilitation

Patients tangle in tubes and lines as they become more mobile leading to dislodgement

Patients must be returned to the hospital to have tubes and lines replaced

                The cycle repeats…

We can help.
